And the latest is ...
Well we've been busy over the break working on a number of improvements for our ComplianceWare application and we're proud to announce the release of version 1.08 with many new features! Firstly, there are a number of improvements to the reporting function that will keep you informed of the progress of running reports, list those that are queued to run, and also allow you to cancel one that is currently executing: There are also two new data features - Configurations and Conventions - to capture those items or conditions that need a form of special treatment, as an example Disaster Recovery servers that might not require any license allocation. Here you simply define the level of specificity (a 'Convention') that will encapsulate the target server population, and where VU's are reported you'll instead see the designated 'Reason' rather than a quantified count. Configurations are similar however they are specific to an individual server or desktop (an 'Element') and capture software that is installed that cannot be identified via the extracts, eg. where you might have a specific Appliance that operates outside of your environment, or perhaps a Cloud based installation that you want to include. Centralise your records. Simplify software discovery. Ease the compliance process. You can also upload your License Certificates directly so your users can easily verify license quantities and validity, and of course act as a readily accessible data source for any audit that might occur! All welcome improvements for our valued customers! And if you're not yet a ComplianceWare customer, but interested in taking a look, just send us an email at [email protected] and we'll provide you a login to peruse the most cost effective software inventory and license management tool on the market!
